Hand-held diagnostic devices

Point of care diagnostic applications will require simple portable diagnostic tools that are convenient for remote use.

OJ-Bio's diagnostic technology platform allows clients to develop and use a variety of hand-held and table-top formats including:

• a re-usable hand held diagnostic device similar to a mobile phone that accepts disposable, disease-specific bio-chips and sends measurement data via wireless network
• a low-cost disposable sensor strip which can be powered by and transmit data to a base station.
• a small table-top unit that accepts disposable bio-chips.

Clients can therefore develop and use a device format of their choice, or investigate different options for ease of use, robustness and portability.

Wireless diagnostic test platforms
We already manufacture a range of working device and sensor-chip prototypes as wireless diagnostic test platforms for our clients, with prototype readers and sensor chips that can be adapted for different assay requirements.
